Our mission is to spread excellent food throughout the world. Our philosophy can be summarized in our constant search for high quality standards which we have been working on for 4 generations.

Since 1887 De Cecco selects only first quality durum wheat, after the selection in the harvest fields the different durum wheats are blended in order to obtain the typical taste, colour and fragrance of the De Cecco pasta.

The precious coarse grain semolina flour is then kneaded with cold spring water to preserve all the nutritional qualities of the durum wheat. Kneading with water at a temperature of about 10° Celsius is essential to create pasta with a high consistency, which will keep its firmness during cooking.

Bronze drawing is one of the special features of De Cecco. The bronze gives that unique roughness that makes the sauces and the condiments cling to the pasta.
