The product was an instant success and the brand, Magnesia San Pellegrino was born in the post war period when Enzo Granelli, owner of San Pellegrino Terme and Water, buys and renames the successful formulation.
Magnesia San Pellegrino contains the active substance magnesium hydroxide and is a laxative that stimulates activity in the large intestine as well as the secretion of water and mineral salts in the digestive tract.
